Beautifully written piece Lou, as always. As a fellow introvert, I so related to all these choices you are making. There is so much power in claiming this as who we are, and not feeling that there is anything wrong with needing vast times bathing in the peace of solitude. I have always been like this, but now I am owning it more. The descriptions of your observations there on the beautiful East coast are so poetic. And...happy birthday!

Thanks Kerry. I like that ‘owning it more’. Some people seem to think it’s a problem I need to be rescued from. 😏

Fabulous, thoughtful writing. Tasmania is so prefect for places to go where you appreciate everything around you and not be part of a crowd. So you wouldn't have liked the cultural dancing and cooking class in Sril Lanka!

Thank you. The way I found I don’t like the ‘tourist gimmick’ activities is that I had to sit through a couple. Now I slink off. 😏

We’re kindred spirits! Yes, I think the need for more alone time comes with aging. Sounds like a delicious birthday week

Well it’s definitely one of the good things that comes from aging.

Aaah the freedom of doing just as you like and being whoever you want. The freedom to "be". Now that's luxury. Or is it the way it should be. We are after all, human BEings. Not human DOings.

As an extra. Angel number 77 is a powerful sign of spiritual awakening inner wisdom and divine alignment. Whichever way you look at it you are right where you should be. No need for overthinking.

Happy birthday Lou

I like that ‘human BEings’. And yes that choice is a luxury to be very grateful for. By the way-great beer coaster! 😁

Delightful as always, Lou. Funny, I’ve been experiencing similar thoughts, similar yearnings, of late. Thinking of Thoreau’s On Walden Pond, wondering when I might escape.

Thoreau. What he showed us has never dated and is probably more relevant in today’s world.
